Neuropsychological Evaluations
Dr. Seidman believes that every student’s school experience should be a positive one. If your child is struggling, a neuropsychological evaluation can explore the root of their difficulties.
Neuropsychological evaluations assess skills related to cognition (e.g., intelligence, language, memory, attention, executive functions), academic functioning (e.g., reading, writing, math), and social-emotional development (e.g., social skills, anxiety, depression, etc.).
Upon completion of the evaluation process, a feedback session with parent(s) (and child, when of appropriate age) is provided to discuss the meaning of the results and to collaborate on what the next steps will look like for your child. The results and recommendations of the evaluation will also be provided to you in a comprehensive report. This report may be used for your own knowledge and private use; you may also wish to share it with your child's school to inform them of your child's learning needs and to begin the process of requesting accommodations and/or special education services when deemed appropriate.
If you are interested in receiving an evaluation or have questions about the evaluation process, please contact Dr. Seidman for more information.
